ArchivalResource

Asaph Colman day book, 1774-1842.

Daily entries kept by a Glastonbury, Connecticut, physician. Entries note and charge for visits, medicines, and treatments. On page 208 he recorded expenses for building, and notes Prince Negro was paid for digging a cellar. Colman also apparently worked at the brickyard, and hired others to work for him and to take his place on highway work crews. The last section of the volume, after a number of pages were removed, contains the accounts of A.C. Hale, a tailor, 1837-1842.

1 volume.
